kunjar
https://www.deskmodder.de/blog/?p=120343 [Update 1.01.2020] Ben completely changed the Microsoft Edge Updater for the portable version and wrote it in C # .NET. More on this below, as the view has also changed somewhat. [/ Update] There are some who prefer to use a browser as a portable version. Ben was once again hardworking and has now created the portable Microsoft Edge (Chromium) Updater in addition to the portable Google Chrome Updater . The new Microsoft Edge Updater now comes as an improved updater. Instead of the cmd window, the download and unpacking process itself is now displayed in the updater. Instead of the previous links, only the Edge Launcher is now created in the directory. After everything is complete, the only question asked is whether you want to use a profile for each individual edge, a profile for all versions or the standard profile of the edge. Accordingly, a Profile.txt is now created in the created folder. From now on everything is identical to the Edge as you have used it so far. You can choose from the Microsoft Edge Canary, Microsoft Edge Dev, Microsoft Edge Beta and of course the Microsoft Edge Stable. Each in x86 and x64. The current version that can be installed is always displayed. You can download one, several or all. In the case of several, a separate profile is then advantageous. If you start the updater again, the current version number will be displayed, just like when you started it for the first time. If you have already installed it, the button is green. If there is an update, the button is red. One click and the Edge updates itself. Over time, we will keep updating the article and adding the new versions of the "Portable Edge Chromium Updater". At this point a big thank you to Ben.
