Issues Acronis tib file

Discovered that Tib files made by Acronis 2015 are not compatible with Acronis 2020. I can not open tib by Acronis 2015 with Acronis 2020.

Now, my question. Is it ok to keep using Acronis 2015 (tib files) for the backup in all the PC for compatibility or upgrade to Acronis 2020 (tibx files) and backup again the PC's?

I am inclined to Installed Acronis 2020 and do the backup again with Acronis 2020? I am using Windows 10 and Windows 7.

Maybe this help.

1-"Acronis does not guarantee forward compatibility. Backups created with a newer build/version of the product may not be supported by older builds/versions'

2-”The main benefit of the new archive format (tibx is faster files/folders backup and browsing operations, e.g. the performance improvements, especially for cases when a huge amount of files/folders (2 millions+) is saved in the backup.”

3-“Can I still use previously created backups?

Yes. Acronis True Image 2020 fully supports backups in .tib format. It is not obligatory to move to .tibx. Whether your Acronis True Image backups are in .tib or .tibx format, you can rely on them equally.“

Please help me to make an informed decision. Thanks

Thanks.

Better have only one installed.

if you want to use two or more use bootcd or WinPE with as many version as you like.
