does this update  solve the issue with windows 10 1909 compatibility?

Hmmm... I never had a problem with Vmware Workstation on W10.

Dead! Since version 12 doesn't work for some processors!

Means alien processors or such??

All versions never had any problems so far on normal modern hardware.

Normal Modern? Alien? Please, go back to sleep. Our issue is Quad Core Intel with Gigabyte! And this is not Atom or whatever. They hide much more information, so please shut up!

Systems using Processors (CPUs) launched in 2011 or later are supported except:
- Intel Atom processors based on the 2011 "Bonnell" micro-architecture (e.g. Atom Z670/Z650; Atom N570)
- Systems using Intel Atom processors based on the 2012 "Saltwell" micro-architecture (e.g. Atom S1200, Atom D2700/D2500, Atom N2800/N2600.
- Systems using AMD processors based on the "Llano" and "Bobcat" micro-architectures (e.g. code-named "Hondo", "Ontario", "Zacate", "Llano")

Not slept yet, sorry. ;)

But come on... Those Atom thingies and such I would also not really call a CPU.

although it says it doesn't work on "zacate" processors, I can attest that, in fact, it does work!

Sorry, but is same level and far of any real CPU. But cute that still works on that!

if you want a "lite" version, use vmware player. period.

Nobody is questioning the level of the CPU. All I'm saying is that vmware (at least player) works on CPUs that it explicitly does not support (which is absolutely contradictory).

I mean, the guys @vmware should relly get their shit together. Why would they say the software doesn't work on a particular  CPU, when in fact it does work????? clowns.

Fact is only that they not support such weirdo-wannabe-CPUs, but not block them actively.
So... Might work or not. And useless anyway unless you wanna like a Z80 VM or such. ;)

I really agree with your statement. Workers of VMware must be replaced of something. Although, this is one of the best virtualization software in the market, unless you use Linux and can use the powerful KVM (QEMU). As @BTJB says: "they hide too much information".

What's the issue with those old CPUs?? They are discontinued and in their times, they were very useful for some people. Also, the first ARM CPU were based in those ""weirdo-wannabe"" CPUs.

Of course, no one would use the Z80 CPU. It no longer even exists and is not compatible with x86.

Your sarcasm and your acid words are very annoying, you know? And please don't even try to send me private messages with insults or threats.

Z80 was a joke, but some people too limited for humor.

Those 'weirdo-wannabe-CPUs' are not only old, but were already too limited when created. But some people stay at 8080 hardware level... And users of modern systems simply have zero problems!

Actually, I run a win2000 VM on my 6-7 year old AMD E2-2000,which is supposed to be incompatible with vmware. AFAIK win2000 doesn't run on Z80 CPUs...

Actually, Z80 CPUs still exist and are used in calculators and embedded systems...
