The Malwarebytes 4 for Mac already features Dark theme support, which is where the Windows version lacks. After most requests from users, the company today released Malwarebytes 4.1 beta for Windows with Dark Mode UI, improved performance and enhanced AE detection and remediation. After Malwarebytes 3, Malwarebytes version 4 is a major release (with a new zero-hour detection engine Kanata, redesigned interface and available for download with an online installer by default), followed by the launch of Browser Guard extension for Firefox and Chrome. To avert issues with Windows Defender, Malwarebytes automatically registers in Windows 10 Security Center as primary antivirus, so Windows Defender will be turned off when Malwarebytes is installed. You can make Windows Defender to periodically check for threats by enabling periodic scanning setting in its options. How to enable dark mode for Malwarebytes 4 on Windows 10 1. Since new feature requires Beta version to be installed. Download and run Malwarebytes stable on your computer, you can use its offline installer to quicken up the installation process. 2. Once Malwarebytes installation is complete, launch it and activate the Premium version by entering your license details. 3. Once the activation is successful, click on gear icon to open Settings > General and Enable Beta updates 4. Click Enable Beta Application updates, head to About and click on “check for updates”, the new beta update will be downloaded, Malwarebytes asks your permission to install it. 5. Restart your computer when prompted, after reboot, open Malwarebytes, click on the gear icon and select Display 6. Select the Dark theme. All in all, Malwarebytes comes with three theme options: Use system default, Light and Dark. Malwarebytes uses the light theme by default. The application UI now adapts to Windows 10 theme changes if the “use System default” setting is selected.
