Hi all,

Wondering if someone can successfully download mega files using the uget linux download manager?

Keep getting the "Can't handle this MEGA URL" message with h--ps//mega.nz/#... like urls.

Using uget 2.2.3 under Mint 19.3.

Thanks in advance for any inputs.

@sefton22, thanks but it would be necessary to re-upload each time. Looking for a fix/solution/something I missed 😉

An example from bolo33's recent post (https://www.nsaneforums.com/topic/364498-jean-michel-jarre-‎–-revolutions/):

Sharecode: https://mega.nz
Sharecode: /#F!deohkaKA!3G2wnGj-DPHL5A-fOoTrZA

rar

Site: https://mega.nz
Sharecode: /#!8OJ2AIKR!hmSExQICYTHl3CrRnxIN76QYR-sbDPqSLwlTGRWCD9s

The first link leads to a folder. Requesting the files links (with or without the key) and using them in uget leads to the error message "Can't handle this MEGA URL" .

The second link leads to a rar file. Now working with uget.

All links look similar, wondering why some are (now, but don't know why) working and some are not within uget.

@PLASMA, thanks for the test. Might then move to JDownloader.

@mp68terr i thought the link was from another site, but as website configurations change all the time, it most likely that uget needs an update to handle any changes. Looking on gitHub, it hasn't been updated in over a year whereas JDownloader is updated almost weekly

So it seems uGet can't handle MEGA folder url yet. I use it daily on Windows and just realized that 😄

Btw main developer doesn't use Github but Sourceforge, not sure who is the maintainer there on Github

Simply ( a very late) thank-you to @PLASMA for recommending JDownloader over uget.

I know that IDM is around too. JDownloader app takes care of mirrors, sharecodes, etc. Great help when it comes to download stuff from nsane, and others.
