And that's what I don't really understand on their part, that's all. first of all, some users will use IP blocking as a backup plan when one of the patches won't work. so the rationale of using multiple patches is that IDM stays activated without any pop-up issue when one main patch fails. this is my method that I used 2 years ago and it never changes. no impact to my system either. i bet everybody does the same too. i can't imagine you're making a unneeded fuss about using multiple patches anyway. But like I said before, to each his own. just to add, even with IP block in place, every re-installation of IDM will need to clear registry and fix the pop-up as well, to ensure a fortified activation fix and no issues on registry's side. so this is still called multiple "meds". alas, you never know what IDM does mean with "fixing bugs" on their changelogs without knowing that they're beating up any activation flaws on IDM. you do you, I do I, they do theirs. end of story.
