The key here is just blocking the license server check with a clean idm in the registry which has been the same method of past IDM version till now. You may have a nag first so i would recommend to establish your blocker e.g. Using netlimiter, proxycap, or other security tools in the application blocker section. then do a clean up then register program again. Toolbox should be run in admin mode esp windows 10 due to file protected file mechanism. If you can establish activated version of idm , you just need to update future version and nothing more to do unless they update again the base clsid check. If you dont like to use third party security applications which guides you in this toolbox, this is not for you. For testers like me, installed activated both IDM and ADM. So you'll know the difference between the two. All credits to the work of nsane people in the past including me of course ( DCS18/Recruit/Undertaker/hamanokaito/Knowledge/Baltagy/ DukunCabul/people i forgot to mention , sorry) Refer to credits section. zanderthunder Posted February 9, 2020 Share Posted February 9, 2020 Meanwhile, this is how I installed the latest IDM update, with retaining @Actver's .dll patch and 33 IP Block (using Internet Lock to block the call-home IP's) from my previous installation. 1. Exit IDM from tray. 2. Use @sledge101's latest tool to clean the trash keys and re-register again. 3. From there, downloaded the retail file using the same tool. 4. Install the update. 5. Ta-da! IDM installed with @Actver's dll patch pre-applied and call-home IP-block enforced. Hopefully no pop-up's for now. p/s: you can use @123m.m's toolkit as well. p/s 2: recommended to use @Actver's non-update type patch, currently at version 1.6. smug Posted February 9, 2020 Share Posted February 9, 2020 I have never received fake serial warning in a long time "In my computer", I don't know why, maybe because of the addresses blocked in the HOSTS file, or the patch used, I tried in another computer different patches and the ones that always work are Ali.Dbg's and pawel97, the others always give the fake serial warning. and I've been using elchupacabra repack months ago, it makes things easier for you.
