This version won't start minimized.

It always starts sitting on the Desktop. :nono:

Back to previous version.:eekout:

previous versions have that same behavior..

v13.026 doesn't.

I didn't upgrade to v13.027, so I don't know about that version.

When you use a tool such as "Autoruns", you will see that there are two entries under "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run".

One is "FXSound" and one "FXSound Enhancer" (maybe that happens, when updating without uninstalling the older version?), but both point to the file "...\program files (x86)\dfx\dfx.exe".

Just delete one of them and the program will start minimized into the systemtray...

no, they don't. it minimizes to the systray. no issue here. maybe you're not applying the patch correctly

Well, I went back to v13.026 and applied the patch by running it as Admin (as usual), and it works fine.

v13.028 doesn't work right for me using the same patch and running it as Admin.

It's pretty hard to apply the patch incorrectly. 🤣

actually, this doesn't matter. I too had dual FX sound and fx sound enhacer startup entries and only one instance of the program starts and it's correctly minimized to the systray.

Thanks Edion.

I didn't read your post properly the first time.

When I read Autoruns, I didn't keep reading. I was in a hurry.

I also had 2 startup entries in the Registry. I just deleted one. All good.

And thanks for your help also @jvidal

Come to think of it, this actually happened to me once before with an earlier version of Volume2.

It had 2 startup entries, and it would also start on the Desktop.
