uffbros
I just tried to do a backup several times and I get the following error: What could be the cause/fix? Thanks
tz847
Open Macrium Go to Other tasks on the top menu Select fix VSS problems It will register VSS. Hopefully, that will fix it.
uffbros
Thanks for the suggestion but I wound up restoring an image to a week ago and all is well now. If I get that again I'll try your suggestion for sure.
Smoore
Also beware of A/V with ransomware protection. It detected Image Guardian as ransomware and corrupted all my backup images. I could restore an image but there were sector errors and crashes with endless disk errors. FYI
Israeli_Eagle
For Image Guardian you should only set partitions where you save images!! And also clean & fix your VSS system maybe...
Stig
It looks like VSS was broken there. If it happens again, you should try and identify the cause. Some imaging applications can cause it, especially ones that offer their own backup service.
