USB Safely Remove 6.2.1

USB Safely Remove is a USB device manager. It saves time and extends user abilities on active work with flash drives, portable drives, card readers and other gadgets. The main disadvantage of using the built-in Windows safe removal tool is that in case of having several hot-plug devices it is quite difficult to recognize a device that needs to be stopped. Most devices have the same name: "USB mass storage device". In addition, Windows does not let you hide a device you would not want to stop from the menu. USB Safely Remove saves you from these problems and offers an original and multifunctional stopping menu, which displays actual device names with icons. Using this menu you can find and stop a device in a snap!

Thanks to Astron for the update.

I don't think in all the years I have used a USB drive I have ever used the safe removal tool.  I just unplug them.  Never had any problems.

in case you didn't know, this software has some more useful features than just "safely remove" devices. It can easily change drive letters for usb drives and reconnect devices marked for extraction.this is especially useful for internal card readers, if you eject one, you have to reboot to reconnect it. With this tool, you can just re-connect it and keep going without rebooting.

As some have already mentioned, I join them - no one ever needs it.
So no matter how old or young this medical practitioner is, you just never need it.
If anyone is afraid that something might happen while removing the USB drive, open windows explorer/file explore and right click on that drive and then select eject. That's it.
And if there is any risk at all, it is as big as to win a billion by lottery. Congratulations to fresh billionaires.

Not so, I don't agree. Have you every tried to safely remove a Western Digital,. Seagate or any portable hard drive in Windows 10. I am talking portable hard drives with spinning platters. In win 10 File Explorer it is impossible to eject the drive. Talk to Microsoft, and Microsoft blames the manufacturers. Talk to the manufacturers and they blame Microsoft. And round and round we go for literally years and years now. These programs are essential to safely eject these drives.

Hi, I just use it for one reason, and it is the same @PistalPete said. External HDD, I have a disk attached that I do not want to be accesed all the time, and do not want to remove it, disconnect it and connect it again in order to use it. I use this tool to stop it, and start it without any phisical interaction with the drive.

Very useful if you ask me.

I noticed that this has not had an update here for a while? How good is this software? And, how does it compare to Zentimo Fast & Reliable Device Safe Removal?
