HOW , to fix it ( show the icon , assistent ) in ALL WEBSITES ..........???? :coolwink:

Hi Pete,

although I have not had this issue personally, I would run an older version of adguard. Might be a bug in 7.3.

@Pete 12

Open adguard go to Settings->Extensions. Now disable and enable adguard assistant via given checkbox. & check if issue is fixed.

2. If not fixed Click on Settings icon and select Reinstall. & see if your issue is fixed.

3. Still not fixed, click on settings icon select Edit from menu. Now check if there are any sites getting excluded. see below given picture. remove them from script and save it.

Also which web browser are you using and name some sites that you're unable to see adguard assistant on.

on IE11 adguard assistant is not showing up even for me. it looks like bug in adguard itself. it is blocking ads on IE11. but adguard assistant is missing.

Hi everyone,

I also noticed that the assistant is not showing up on IE but the filtering is still engaged. This is on a legit copy with a valid license. The assistant however does show up on the following browsers from my tests:

Firefox

Chrome

Edge Insider

Edge Traditional(HTML5)

Just an assumption but probably an over-site issue since IE is not heavily used in tests compared to others.

Thank you

No one should be using IE11 to browse the internet anymore.

Its still supported by MS .....you dont want to know how many people using IE11 ....!

Including myself , though Im using Edge more and more ,coz its not "compatible" with a lot of sites and software anymore .

MS recommends IE11 for backward compatibility only.  There are many better browsers out there.

I am only saying this because of the usage charts available on the web. IE overall has dropped exponentially compared to others. Either way, I feel this was an over-site issue on adguards end that should be corrected.

It's weird. I tested on my IE11 and the assistant icon is showing and working fine. I was upgraded from 7.2. I set the assistant icon to show in the bottom left.

my adguard assistant version is 4.3.18. and i am on yearly premium license.

You are right !

Other browsers ok , the Adguard-Assistant icon visible on ALL sites , except IE11 , in which most sites the Assistant icon is not visible ( though blocking adds still)

Did anyone noticed in IE11 ; the Assistant is visible , on the sites with the "advice" to switch to other browser on it.

Also the IE11-paper sites are showing the Assistant.

btw; still no answer on my support-mail about this bug , looks like they dont know (yet?) how to solve the issue..........:wtf:

Yes @Pete12.  I was testing it further --> IE.  There is no adguard asistant addon in IE when going to manage addons in IE , so cant enable it.  It might be maybe because my default browser is Google Chrome. So close google chrome  and use IE,  got the adguard assistant icon present but really selective, so far , from my test...

Knowledgeplace, Youtube site, yahoo.com, movie sites ....

MSN -- nada.

MSN and MOST other sites ..nada also !

When using Edge , Adguard working well ...........using IE11 standard , not a big fan of Edge ,coz its not easy ( impossible?) to make a shortcut on the desktop of a site , while its peace of cake in IE11.

Any idea of solving the Adguard bug , I hope Adguard will drown in the complaints and f****** do something about it soon ............!!!!!!!!!  :badmood:
