dabourzannan
I'm trying to use Chromium, as Google Chrome is getting more aggressive with data collection. The issue here is that I can not play any videos even after trying the following: Clearing all browsing data and relunching. Allow Flash player. Uncheck "use hardware acceleration". Downloading and installing Adobe Flash. I'm out of solutions and would appreciate any help.
Kalju
Please explain a little bit more about what version of Chromium You uses and what it means when you say "Allow Flash player; Uncheck "use hardware acceleration"; Downloading and installing Adobe Flash ". I personally use for years (10+ years) and no problem. And I forgot - what kind of videos are You talking about. Right now playing on latest Chromium stable release : Spoiler Spoiler
dabourzannan
Thanks @Kalju for your answer> Chromium version: 81.0.3999.0 Win_x64 Allow Flash player in site sitting "as you know default is blocked". Reading about this issue there was many cases when unchecking "use hardware acceleration" in advanced sittings reported to solve the problem for some people. I downloaded the latest release of adobe flash player for chrome and installed it, to see if the newest version is able to solve this issue. Videos such as the once embedded in twitter, I can play every thing in Firefox no problem. Also this is my OS: Windows 10 version 1909 build 18363.535, maybe it helps. Kalju
I don't think Flash can be a problem because most websites no longer have videos that require it on your computer. There are some old widgets that require but not the videos. And if they are somewhere, they must be some very old sites. There is no matter, what flash plugin is installed becase there have not been for long any important updates, have been only some minor updates. I'll upload one portable, try this. It's the current stable with sync feature added. It means, You can sync your bookmarks, logins, etc. File: ChromiumPortable64_79.0.3945.79.paf.exe Size: 66.99 MB (x64, offline installer) Site: https://www.upload.ee Sharecode: /files/10855360/ChromiumPortable64_79.0.3945.79.paf.exe.html

Any explanation? In developer versions may everything happen. There is often so, that today's version works, but the next not. So if You're not developer, don't use these. These are not for regular using. Here are the latest stable version installers with sync and everything what You need. dabourzannan
This is what I have found from reading about this problem, in case it may help someone. Pure Chromium, if this is the right word, does not come bundled with HTML5 and a bunch of other video/audio codecs. There are two ways this media files can be played, one to download a pre-made copy like the one @Kalju kindly gave here and here ,or to compile it yourself following instruction in here and choose “building_chromium_gn.md” Hope this help
sky19
Chromium with all cocecs incorporated and compiled: https://chromium.woolyss.com/ Tip: Download the PORTABLE version, unzip it on a non-system partition and you'll never have to reinstall the browser again! Personally, I absolutely do not like this woolyss portable and the upgrade system so I did a new one and if You want, You'll get it. If don't, use woolyss but sometimes they are not correct and will destroy everything. Mine version is similar to portableapps com system and as I said, I do it if somebody need it.
