Probably that is well cleaned from the AV already and is part of the useless file. But I use ONLY unfiltered DNS servers (mostly 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1). Happiness
1. If you install/update having disabled all network connections before, the installer simply jumps all adware installation attempts and installs completely "Ad Free" without any asking/confirmation dialog - for now ! 2. Connection attempts afterwards by "potplayermini[64].exe" still remain, of course. Use a firewall, if you don´t want them. 3. These new barrage of updates day by day are just a variant of the silent updates that Daum used before, after releasing a new version of the prog. My guess is that they just want to generate huge download counts of their prog, especially to pump up revenue from the ads and the old system wasn´t successful enough. Israeli_Eagle
But again... Simply use a good AV!! I see the detection every time when installing PotPlayer and NOD32 asks then whether I wanna clean or not. That were already years... The same is detected for example with CDBurnerXP I think. jvidal
As someone pointed out in the reddit discussion thread, maybe you should check for adware on your PC. If you look closely, you'll notice that the characters on the ad shown are not korean (Daum is a korean company), but most likely chinese...
