Thank you, would be a simple solution in need an vpn, but the program doesnt bring the security features.

It need killswitch network firewall on its menu option, and manual dns changer, as main security layer.

if I set aside the so called 'kill switch', I decided to play a bit and test.
Some (not many) years ago this VPN, the simple one from Steganos, was crashing/hanging/dropping like...so very often. + other stability and connectivity issues. It was a piece of junk frankly.
I now kind of started to like it actually :). for what it is meant to be.
Sure, as you noted, go and change the dns servers in its TAP/V9 adapter properties (I went for 1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1).
and by habit I also unchecked "client for ms networks" and "file and printer sharing...", let's leave WINS-NetBIOS at default, for the time being.
did some ipleak/dnsleak checks afterwards...
the speed to a country I chose and may need - is actually really good at the moment of writing. Connection stable.
logs...and alike - well, I don't know. the rule is: trust nothing said by the vendor.🙂 Few partial exceptions only.
