Karlston
Windows 1.0 turns 34 years old today Actually, the first for-real version of Windows was called 1.01, but there’s a complicated story around it. Microsoft’s had problems with version numbering for a long time. My first experiments with Windows were on Windows 286. What about you? halvgris
well windows 3.11 long before internet. i learned how to secure it by tweaking the .ini files especially in schools. this was before they even had it people around. i was an early pc adopter techie but i stopped because people would ask me to help them for hours resolving pc and windows problems with no pay. i was in luck because one of my friends was bragging how good he was so he took over my business. every time we go together he would complain on the same thing i now avoided. still do techie jobs for relatives and people that pay for it.
