tried patch v1.7, it said "patching ok", but it still comes up as trial when launching the program.

Well I am using version 7.0.0.64...looked at the change logs since then and nothing to important for my setup, made DVD for a family member over the weekend without issue, would like the newest version though! I can confirm that upgrading the program results in an unregged copy, also can confirm that the latest meds no longer are effective.

Hi. The old direct patch method i used won't work properly on new versions of all the products that VSO is preparing for this year.

I have created a new fix in the form of a DLL hook that works very well on my tests with the beta versions so far. Also, as is with all fixes based on a hook DLL, it will allow to update the program without need to apply the fix again.

For now it's in testing phase. Plus, VSO will release 64-bit versions of all their products this year, so i need to wait until they make available those versions to adjust the compatibility of my fix.

Copy the provided DLL to the folder where you installed the product (example: C:\Program Files (x86)\VSO\ConvertX\7).

 

*** IMPORTANT ***

 

- This patch supersedes VSO Video Converters Patch/VSO Downloader 5.x Patch. It has been initially developed and tested with the following product versions:

 

• Blu-ray Converter Ultimate 4.0.0.98
• ConvertXToDVD 7.0.0.68
• ConvertXtoHD 3.0.0.70
• ConvertXtoVideo Ultimate 2.0.0.98
• DVD Converter Ultimate 4.0.0.98
• VSO Downloader 5.0.1.62

 

Any newer version should also be compatible. Versions prior to those mentioned above are NOT compatible with this patch.

 

- Always use this patch in a clean installation, without additional patches or modified executable files.

- To ensure a proper operation of this patch, add an exception rule for the DLL file in your antivirus software.

- In case of any conversion or recording failure with the programs, please do not blame this fix! VSO products are constantly improved, as there may be bugs and hardware incompatibilities.

Extract and run ConvertXtoDVD*Portable.
Working folder set by user. If you just burn you can set it in TEMP (deleted when leaving) with WorkingFolder=temp in ConvertXtoDVD*Portable.ini. You can also set it in portable folder with WorkingFolder=portable (the worst on USB key).
Sound events language set by launcher according localisation of Windows : English, Dutch, French, German, Japanese,Spanish.
Settings of installed ConvertXtoDVD should be preserved.
