Karlston
Huawei Watch GT 2 unboxing and first impressions When Huawei announced its Watch GT last year, the big focus was on battery life. When I reviewed it, I saw that the company delivered on its promise of great battery life, but there were a lot of compromises made. This year's Watch GT 2 aims to make up for some of that. For one thing, you can use it to listen to music now, either with Bluetooth headphones or with the built-in speaker. You can do the same with phone calls as well. Most importantly though, there's the option for an always-on display, something that wasn't available before. Unfortunately, you have to choose between the always-on display and raise to wake. The Watch GT lineup uses Huawei's in-house LiteOS, so you won't see a Google Play Store on here, or third-party apps for that matter. The custom software is what allows for the battery life to be what it is though, and if you want that kind of juice, this is your best bet. The design has improved this year too. Gone are the raised, stainless steel borders, and it's replaced by an edge-to-edge piece of glass. It's really a beautiful device.
