I see today we have a new "No Update" version posted from ActVer, I see he edited his post above and put this new one in - see his post for full info.

btw, I really like this ,dll method for both the regular 'update' and now this New 'no update' version.

It's very unique, and very well done. Impressive.

After the dll is loaded you can do anything with the program in memory, like patch IDM in the ram so that way you don't need to patch it on disk like a crack or patched exe does, etc, and the original file stays untouched on disk. The dll also does filtering, blocking checks of license and fake registration, and can block all call outs (phone homes)

Seems this new "No Update" version does not need any other ip blocking methods anymore - it does everything on its own - Excellent.

It's Brilliant really. ..Very Nice work ActVer !

I tested the regular update v1.3 version yesterday and it worked very well, but yes it did call out (phone home) checking for updates since its allowed for updating itself live, and update itself, and still work - which is really very nice for those who want that.

Today I tested this New "No Update" version, besides everything else it does, it also now disables Updates and all call outs (phone homes) ..vErY cOOL!   This is my favorite, and is a keeper!  It does not phone home at all now.  If you go into the program and click the update button, you'll get a prompt (depending on OS) ...IDM prompts that a socket operation was attempted to an unreachable network ..Perfect!

Like I always have done if I want to update the program, I just use whatever the new version IDM installer is manually, and as long as ActVer's netshell.dll is in the programs folder, after it's updated it's fully registered and fully functional.

As I said, it's Brilliant really. ..Very Nice work ActVer !

.

Great comments and analysis!

I used trial reset and patches but they don't work with local user (though work with admin account). Can you, Endeavorz, check if this dll work with local user? Or do you know any way that can fix this problem?

Internet Download Manager Activator

Instructions:

1. Exit from IDM.

2. Place the dll file in IDM installation directory default x64bit "C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Download Manager"

3. Start IDM and it should be activated.

Not working try this:

  Reveal hidden contents

Download and install  Visual C++ redistributable packages for VS 2015, 2017 and 2019 ,if you didn't already installed. might fix loading of the dll.

Download:

https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x86.exe

And also x64 if your have win x64 bit

https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

After you done installing give it another try.

Which trial reset and patch did you use? By rights, it should work regardless of what kind of account do you have.

Also, check this tutorial for IDM activation process.

Thank you for the advice.

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DownloadManager
I found FName, LName at Registry editor

My "NAME" and "DATA" value at Registry editor is
    FName ---> Lifetime
         LName ---> Registerd

But,It is not the same as "This Product is licensed to:" xxxxxxxx

------------------
Even if I search for FName in Registry editor
There was no "NAME" with the same data as xxxxxx.

also
xxxxxxx "DATA" search in Registry editor ,did not hit.

Should work if you can paste my dll in idm installation directory.

If you are using my dll you can't change it because it activate idm internally.

TKS advice !!

It was XXXXX since I was using another patch.

Currently, DLL (by Actver) is also being replaced.

Xxxxx cannot be changed if the DLL is replaced.

To change xxxxxxxx,
1) Uninstall and reinstall IDM
2) Rewrite the registry to the desired name
3) Replace the DLL

----------------

also,Question

My OS as X64,

I discovered,
There was a similar DATA in the registry.
Does this need to be changed ?

That is,

  HLM\Software\wow6432Node\Internet Download Manager
     FNam
     LName

I used trial reset, Resetter_Fix_For_V6.xx and IDM crack By Ali.Dbg, IDM_6.3x_Crack_v16.5. Both of these medicines don't work at all with local user  no matter how hard I tried, although they work with admin account. I installed them with admin account, they work. However when I logged into local user, the IDM was still "trial" and asked for registering. I removed them, cleaned registry, then did again but with local user account. Again, they worked with admin account but not with local user. Could you please test and help fix this problem? My system is Windows 10 and I use both admin and local user.

Thank you and Actver. Thanks Actver for uploading and the magnificent work in providing a simple elegant solution to activating IDM.  Thank you endeavorz taking the time to check that the .dll file works and your feedback and detailed reporting. Till today was using IDM ver 6.30 with constant annoying nag. Kudos to you both.
