Tiger has a 'close shave'

Golf superstar Tiger Woods was treated in hospital and discharged “in good condition” after suffering injuries in a car crash in Florida early Friday (November 27).

Woods' car smashed into a fire hydrant after pulling out of his driveway, and then collided with a tree in a neighbouring property. The 33-year-old was then taken to Heath Central Hospital in Ocoee.

In a statement, Tiger Woods’ spokesperson said that the ace golfer suffered some facial lacerations but that he had been discharged in a stable condition.

The incident occured in the upscale neighbourhood of Isleworth, which is on the outskirts of the City of Orlando in Florida. Investigators believe that the crash was one of low intensity since the airbags in the car did not deploy.

Meanwhile, Wood's agent Mark Steinberg also confirmed that woods was released from hospital in a stable condition. Steinberg spoke on behalf of Wood's family and thanked the outpouring of support for Tigers well being. Earlier reports of Woods’ car crash had shocked America with media claiming the golfer had been in a “serious” crash and said to be in critical condition.

But the Mayor of Windere put all the speculation to rest when he revealed that the car crash was not serious and that Woods had only suffered from facial lacerations at Health Central hospital.

Woods owns a property in the suburb of Isleworth, an exclusive area near Orlando.

Just happened to read the The Times Of India reports today about rumours that the accident was caused due to a confrontation between Tiger & and his wife, Erin Nordegren over Tiger's alleged affair with Manhattan party planner, Rachel Uchitel. :)

Man .. you know when they say 'Drivers'.. that certainly doesn't mean put Tiger behind the wheel... Give him a golf club next time.. I have seen some stupid accidents in my time but yo know.. I just don't see the rate of speed exiting your driveway to be that of which should cause all that.. Of course you have the element of surprise too .. you know .. maybe he just wasn't 'on his game' at that moment.. still just seems out of place though... Doesn't sound right.. LOL.. and having to bust out the back window of the car to get to Woods.. I mean she must have been really worried.. and not really thinking or that car was jacked da !@#$ up.. The pieces just don't fit.. seamlessly..

He better have been in a 900 HP SLR or a Twin-Turbo Mod Murcielago ( 1200 HP ) to do the pinball machine move and create that kind of damage..either that or a cell phone in one hand and a driveway that looks like a runway strip..
