Waterfox is a 64-bit version of Firefox. Waterfox is modified version of the Firefox source code specifically for machines running 64-bit versions of Windows. Software designed for 64-bit Windows editions can take advantage of faster RAM and processing speeds and greater stability in 64-bit systems. Just converting Mozilla's source code for 64-bit Windows isn't enough, Waterfox takes it to another level with unique tweaks which help it exploit the speed of 64-bit systems. Waterfox is made with one thing in mind: speed. Waterfox offers 100% Firefox Add-on Compatibility and 64-bit Plugin Support.

Thanks to Astron for the update.

Anyway, time to ditch waterfox and stick to firefox.

(Only for me ?) WF ran into problems with uMatrix and uBlock Origin. With 56.2.14 only some pages didn´t load but with this WF "Classic" both addons were completely broken and unusable. Creating a fresh profile with only these two addons (or one of them) didn´t solve the problem either.

WF Current works fine in that respect.

But i haven´t heard anyone else complaining about this issue so i must assume it´s one my side. But since i dont´t know how to solve it, i have to quit using this WF branch cause these addons are essential to me. Maybe i have to use legacy versions of umatrix/uBlock but thats also not a satisfying solution.

Download links not working.

Waterfox have pulled the links for both Current & Classic releases.

Comments on this page (scroll down to see them) report versions being buggy:

EDIT: Waterfox have now restored all download links.

You have to use legacy addons  and turn off multi processes

uBlock Origin Legacy

https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases/tag/firefox-legacy-1.16.4.11

No script classic

https://secure.informaction.com/download/releases/noscript-5.1.9.xpi

Privacy Badger Legacy

Status-4-Evar Revived for Waterfox Classic 2019.10

https://github.com/hawkeye116477/S4E/releases

Classic Add-ons Archive Addon

This catalog contains 93,598 versions of 19,450 Firefox add-ons created by 14,274 developers over the past 15 years using XUL/XPCOM technology before Mozilla decided to ruin the classic extensions ecosystem and go exclusively to WebExtensions.

If you want to use WebExtensions  you may as well use Firefox current .:tooth:
