Using ESET and Malwarebytes Are you sure? The installer file that I downloaded from IOBit official site (http://update.iobit.com/dl/advanced-systemcare-setup.exe) is clean. There are 3 antivirus engine flags it, but I'm sure it's a false positive. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/f7cc2402f39fbd197e2e46c6ad9ad6c7051744f35fa85b425615bc485ed627d4/detection As far as I know, I'm using ESET Internet Security and never had any problems when using Advancecd Systemcare Pro. The files have been scanned by me under latest ESET signature update and it's safe. There's must be something wrong with your download, or maybe even your system. Raur
My system is virus and malware free until I downloaded it from their website. Some files related to IObit were flagged as PUA when already installed. The installer was flagged by Malwarebytes prior installation.

funkyy
Hi all you guys above. I thought it was just me, but in the last month or so ESET has been blocking lots of my usual download sites/links with an alert about a "Scrinjet trojan" (something like that). These were sites that I have used regularly for years. First of all I don't believe that all these unrelated sites are infected with the same Scrinjet trojan. So I did a little test:- first i tried a download link..when the alert appeared I went back to the link page, changed my location with a VPN (sometimes HOXX or Seed4me or Express VPN), then I clicked the download link and I was able to download the files with absolutely no alert...and no trojan. Also, when I tried to download McAfee STINGER I get an alert about the page being dangerous. I suspect that ESET (and maybe other antivirus makers) may have made some kind of deal with "certain companies/organizations" to deliberately flag movies, series and software links as infected knowing that a lot of people will then abandon the download. I mean, if you want to reduce piracy it's a very direct and effective method to scare the bejesus out of someone who's trying to download. Just my opinion of course...but I've noticed an increase in these alerts recently11
zanderthunder
Based on @Raur, @maia and @funkyy's feedback, I don't think IOBit programs are labelled as PUA by antivirus. PUA detection is merely a "scare tactic" by antivirus that has tendency of false positives. I used ASC for a year, and never had any problems so far with Kaspersky or even ESET (as long as PUA detection is disabled). For now, disable PUA detection (FYI, PUA detection is optional and will not have effect on protection status) and whitelist/exclude the programs involved. Or better yet, change your antivirus. p/s: There's a discussion regarding IOBit been falsely detected as PUA on IOBit forums, but IOBit insisted that their programs are safe. https://forums.iobit.com/forum/advanced-systemcare/advanced-systemcare-v10/219679-malwarebytes-quarantines-advanced-systemcare10 https://forums.iobit.com/forum/general-forums/general-forum-items/225430-ongoing-battle-with-malwarebytes https://forums.iobit.com/forum/driver-booster/driver-booster-v6/227095-driver-booster-v6-2-1-malware-infected p/s 2: There's also issue between Malwarebytes aggresive detection of legit programs as PUA. But Malwarebytes' detection is a big question as it produces a lot of false positives. https://www.thewindowsclub.com/malwarebytes-potentially-unwanted-program
