Have the same problem.

Tested launching idmmzcc3, Firefox return "IDM could not be installed because it presents a high risk of causing stability problems and security" message () see here enclosed image)

I'll appreciate yr help

Firefox 69.0.1 has blocked IDM add-on (extension) since September 30.
Anybody with solution ?

idm-disabled-1.png

  • Uninstall IDM (removes the extension).
  • Re-install IDM (re-installs the extension).

OR

  • Uninstall IDM (removes the extension).
  • Install older version of IDM (installs older version of extension).
  • Update to latest version online (installs latest version of extension).

OR

  • (Uninstall Firefox.)
  • (Install older version of Firefox.)
  • Update to latest version online.

@jcvo

You need to update your version of IDM after you completely remove any installation you may have. This worked for me I'm on version 6.35 build 5, and it works fine with Firefox 70.0.1 (64-bit)

But the Topic Author @percuma88 hasn't replied yet..

Yes I know. I rarely mark topics as solved unless the author has specifically mentioned it. The reason I have done it here is that I too, like others, faced this issue and am well aware that updating the software fixes it.

I concur. Updating  IDM to the latest version fixed the glitch. Admin or any Staff may close this thread.

Thanks.
