Internet Download Manager is a shareware download manager owned by American company Tonec, Inc. They are not related , and require different MEDS.. Blackbird52 Posted October 5, 2019 Share Posted October 5, 2019 Kaspersky Internet Security wont let me to Patch IDM after install by Ali.Dbg. detect IDMan.exe as trojan and delete it. i use same 16.5 patch version on older version with same KIS version as now on my PC and never KIS show anything anybody else have same behavior ? So far, @Ali.Dbg's patch are clean. Probably Kaspersky detected the patched IDMan.exe as false positive. Hopefully Ali.Dbg can address this situation. As a comparison, my laptop installed with ESET Internet Security 12.2.30.0 doesn't detect IDMan.exe as a threat, but on other laptop installed with latest Kaspersky Free Antivirus it does detect. I never had that error. I am running Windows 10 x64 and placed the x64 version of vcruntime140.dll from Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 into the IDM program folder and all my issues went away. I tried placing the x32 version of vcruntime140.dll in the program folder, but it wouldn't load. This also worked for other Actver dll medicine. I did not register the dll, just dropped it in place. TrojanK Posted October 16, 2019 Share Posted October 16, 2019 In case Revo Uninstaller doesn't remove IDMShellExt64.dll after uninstalling IDM, you can do the following to delete this file skipping REBOOT Open Task Manager (press Ctrl+Shift+Esc) Under Processes tab, find Windows Explorer, select, right click and End task Go to File menu->Run new task Press Browse... Change file type to All files to find IDMShellExt64.dll, select and Delete Press Cancel Under Create new task, type explorer and press OK Now, you can install newer version of IDM.
