mp68terr
Might have been asked before, did not find any thread. Wondering what is the point or if there is any rationale by repeating the info posted in the 'Frontpage Software Updates' forum into the 'News & Updates' one? After reading the news in 'News & Updates', those appearing in 'Frontpage Software Updates' are not new anymore, it is like warmed over. It is at least possible to 'discuss' about the news in 'News & Updates', while topics are quickly locked in the Frontpage forum. What about leaving the info appearing in 'Frontpage Software Updates' in this very same forum, without locking the following discussion and without duplicating the info in 'News & Updates'? steven36
Frontpage Software Updates are for members to post updates its get locked as soon as Frontpage staff post it in News & Updates and on the frontpage witch they can only start topics at , if you have anything to add after the topic been locked you can do it at News & Updates subforums. mp68terr
Yes, it is the way it's working. Got it. It leads to similar info in both forums: update info in the Frontpage Software Updates forum and info about the update (+ discussion) in the News & Updates forum. Was simply wondering if there is(are) reason(s) for that 😉

Was simply wondering if there is(are) reason(s) for that 😉 There are couple of good reasons behind it. First reason is that it is the staff edits and posts frontpage updates, topics in News and Updates are to reflect that, second is that members might have no idea if the frontpage is updated finally otherwise, third is database related issue which I cannot say much about it.
