Opinion for good email providers (free $ paid)

:) Hello guys,

I hope I'm not posting this thread at wrong place. If I did, I apologize to the moderators! :blush2:

I want to hear your opinions about email providers, which are good, legit, and not scam.

I don't like Gmail because it is the worst spy ever. So, I'm looking for alternatives.

I know there are some other free email providers, but the problem at some of them is they very easy can terminate your account for many reasons, or for inactivity of 3 months (like Protonmail for example). Some other have a period of inactivity of 6 months (like GMX, Mail.comTutanota etc.)

My first question is:
Q1: Is there any good legit FREE email provider which doesn't terminate the accounts so easy?

And my other question is about the PAID email providers. At them the "inactivity" is not a reason for terminating. From what I found out, the cheapest is the Mail.com (Premium) with 19.95 USD per year. So, my question is:

Q2: Are there other cheaper alternatives to Mail.com? And how good and legit is Mail.com? I heard different opinions about Mail.com, many of them were negative, so I don't know how good it is.

Thank you in advance, and I apologize if I made a mistake!

the only other than google 😃 is fastmail.fm

i have used the basic version for +7 years and +2 with

a standard paid.

but to be fair you need to manage some of the spam.

so if you don't watch inbox sooner than 6 months you

might get a full inbox. 2 gb inbox free and i get 25 gb

and get to use my domains with it too.

however google is my primary one used it since 2004-

2005 minor spam in the beginning but nowadays i get

1 spam mail every 3 years. it failed once or twice when

it was down and out.

as far as spying they can but i'm not a president so it's

kind of boring to spy on me. i have fallen into the easy

setup that goes with gmail. syncing all shit across units.

note: my privacy settings and browser are strict and

maintained.

For free use Yahoo gives 1TB free space....

I don't remember that they have closed my any account on inactivity base...

In paid account storage is same. only no ads + more filters

My PAID accounts are with FastMail, which I got in 2014 - I have had no problems with them at all.

(there was one time when the servers were down for a couple of hours for maintenance)

My FREE junk accounts are with GMX - I haven`t had any problems with those people either !

ProtonMail is the world’s largest encrypted email service with millions of users.

It offers encrypted email, which makes it virtually impossible for anyone to read it except the sender and the recipient.

Yandex is pretty cool. But afaik you can't really use it without providing a phone number. So just keep that in mind.

As soon as you're logging it from another IP they require you to provide a valid phone number or you won't be able to access your account anymore.

But then again, it's free, and depending on your thread model, maybe you're better off with a Russian provider than one based in the US.

Okay, I've used it for years, and they don't have my phone number, though they are asking it sometimes,

I would also go for Protonmail, if you are looking for something legit secure, than this would be your best option

Why someone wouldn't spend $10 on a domain and the first tier of Tutanota at like $3 or something a month is beyond me. Air tight security, a great mobile app, and I used a prepaid VISA for it all to hide my identity.
