Pete 12
Finally succes with the uninstall of Acronis 2019 ! Almost all Acronis-reg.files are deleted , only one system-file ( system32 ) could not be deleted its fltsrv.sys .............when you do ; your windows-backup does not function anymore ! Did anyone (else) get a WinPE ISO while attempting to download the Linux ISO . . . . from the official links? You know — like . . . . shopping for a dog and receiving a wolf, instead. Pete 12
" You know — like . . . . shopping for a dog and receiving a wolf, instead "..............Acronis ; You know — like . . . . installing a dog and receiving a wolf, instead...... My Win10 runs faster and smoother then ever , after uninstalling the bloat , with 7 (!) "services"............

Oh yeah, who says . . . . you cannot teach an old dog new tricks — for over a decade, have been advising, suggesting, recommending and even insulting people for committing the great blunder of installing Acronis when you can so easily use the ISO instead (all . . . . without even waiting for a stupid crack.) Now that you've finally "discovered" this open secret (after a decade) — maybe it's time to learn yet another trick . . . . how to quote posts. Pete 12
" you cannot teach an old dog new tricks ".........not my intention to learn you an old trick in the first place , first ! Second; whats wrong with my " how to quote posts " ? btw; its, indeed, a great blunder to install this bloated Acronis ......totally agree ( very hard to get rid of it completely !) SiNAN
TrueImage 2019 is better for the following reasons: In new version, backups are in a new format, not compatible with old versions! Until 2019 it was .tib, now is .tibx Acronis is still a new format under development, it has some known limitations and issues, at least not mature yet! I prefer to be able to use 2018 or 2019 in case of emergency, my data is vital, I don't say 2020 is not safe at all, Acronis is a great developer, but I have seen issues that they didn't fix in years! .tib had a long way through the past decade and was pretty mature, very reliable and safe, I prefer compatibility and reliability over new version. NEVER use the ready bootable iso image which is Linux version with limited hardware support and features! Linux version won't work with new m2 SSDs or RAID drivers and some more hardware... Always make Rescue Media Builder to create your own bootable ISO, CD or Flash recovery disc! This will make a Windows ADK version with full hardware and driver support and more features. Well, not only did one person get a WinPE from the official Acronis links . . . . he also seems to have managed to download a Ford.
