What you've linked to . . . . is about backward compatibility of backups — I'm referring to backward incompatibility of restores (they are two distinctly different things.)

Good work @kabino !

20.5 GB with Pendrive "Kingston Data Traveler 3.0  (64 GB) :-

  - Full Backup   = 9 minutes ;

  - Full Recover  = 9 minutes.

Not so fast as Macrium Reflect Home 7.2.4440.0 , but faster than Acronis True Image 2018  22.0.9850 that I was using before.

Windows 10 x64 - v.1903 (comp. 18 362.329 )

Still trying to figure why the increase in TIME - size is very close. but time 17750 is close to 3m, when 2020 770 is just over 10m.

Fastest version I have used, total time 2m 15s and makes smaller than 17750

17750 = 31,368,374  3m 32s

20770 = 30,470,840  2m 15s

First version was not WinPE just standard ISO, this version is WinPE Version. e.guess Acronis fixed the issue.. I currently have 2 20600 versions and 3 20770 versions and last one is the very best.

Nah, just tried it out . . . . it's not WinPE — it's Linux (and . . . . it's a Unregistered Trial version.)

There is still a different about the DL links, may some of you don`t know that. The "U" links are normally the Trial links, the "S" links are the Retail Links, so it can be possible that the boot-cd from the "S" link is a PE version!

Sorry 4 my bad English, German Citizen 😉

Don't know what you have . . . . but, the above download on which you based your test, is definitely not WinPE.

You don't even need to check in the About section of an Acronis ISO — much before that right at the time of boot, a Linux will show multiple key-press options for booting into BootCD or into the Desktop . . . . whereas a WinPE will boot directly into the environment (without user intervention) and display a Command Prompt which will then autorun.

Also, Acronis always host BootCDs which are based on Linux — they've never . . . . ever uploaded a WinPE BootCD to their official links.

time was actual backup, not boot time. same as when tested on all the other versions. my average boot from cold is 35s, and never clocked reboot - f11- select USB to set backup, not sure when i should start the timer.

17750 is setup in computer.

@dcs18 what i have -  is verified by what i posted that I have - I am not agrueing with you on all the other (crap).  what Acronis does or does not do. and your checksum mean nothing to me since you and i have different versions.

so to me it doess seem senseless - (i have a ford and you have a chevy) I get 43mpg and you get 18mpg.  so there is no need for more discussion.  Thank you, Snuffy
