vitorio
I gave my Sage50 2006 backup file (*.ptb) file to my accountant and after been reviewed by him it was returned to me. To my surprise it says: "The file you have selected is not a valid Sage50 backup file" What I found in the internet is that apparently this backup version was made with other non compatible version but I checked with the accountant and told me was the same version I used. Called Sage and told me I do not have a paid support service. My question do I have any other choices to restore my backup file? Otherwise I will need to do some additional work to updated it. Thanks.
Karlston
You’ve probably already seen this, but just in case... https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=10107&sliceId=1 Of all the possibilities, the most likely seem to be... As you mentioned, your accountant may have an older version of the software than the one used to do the backup. May be worth double-checking with him. If you sent it to him on some media, CD, DVD, etc, the copy may be corrupt. Perhaps send another copy? If you did the backup, is it possible to verify the backup file’s integrity on your system?
