Macrium Reflect is an image based backup and disaster recovery solutions which have taken another big step forward in speed, simplicity and power, focusing on helping organisations protect business critical data and systems, without fuss and budget breaking costs. Macrium Reflect creates an accurate and reliable image of a hard disk or the partitions on the disk. Just installed , made a boot-CD with Server Plus , booted and made a perfect backup of my OS with this new one !

Went all perfect and faaast , incl. verifying ; 5 minutes ......................redeploy also available........!!     :thumbsup:

 

Its worth keeping this resque-tool ( you never know......)

1. Strange but nice to know, I have Macrium Reflect 7.2.4414 Server plus installed and "registered" with the MPT Patch, made the PE & RE bootable Iso files.

 

2. Copied the Macrium install file from the 😄 \ Program Files to another folder

 

3. Than Uninstall the program with Total Uninstall, FIRST copied the Macrium Reflect Server Plus Edition.De-install.reg & Macrium Reflect Server Plus Edition.Install.reg files

 

4. Than booted my computer and then install the Macrium Reflect Server Plus Edition.Install.reg file and run the Reflect.exe,  it now appears to be just a "portable" program

 

5. And I suspect when I use the - Macrium Reflect Cleaner by hawk007 than the party will be over

Yes because only then the license is deleted from the registry.

Strange , no Technician-version available...................( its , btw , the most expensive version to buy )

Wonder if MPT-patch will work with it also........!.........??    :whistle:

No, I don't believe that, I see no installation key in the Macrium Reflect Server Plus Edition.Install.reg file, it has to do with the zero embedded keys, wonder if you can also copy these and install them again afterwards, I assume that hawk007 has an answer to this.

I had v.7.2.4325 Home (x64) installed with legitimate license.

I tried multiple times over several days to auto-upgrade through the program, but it kept saying "You're up to date". I contacted Macrium and they replied that my version

was the latest one...even though there were download links and changelog relating to v.7.2.4398(???)

Now I'm trying to auto-upgrade to v.7.2.4414 and it still says "you're up to date".(???)

I don't get this...if there are versions with bug fixes and changes available for download, why aren't they available for auto-upgrade through the program?

Why is this program updated so often?
Is it full of bugs?
other programs of this type do not have this frequency of updates.

Is it really recommended?
I tried it in the past and it was slow to create the images, and the same ones were bigger (GB) compared to acronis or AOMEI.

I want to test the re-deploy function to see how good it is compared to that of univeral restore.

I contacted the Macrium Support about no online upgrade of the free /Home edition:

They reply to me that there is NO changes for Home version, CBT is not used into these versions. So no need to upgrade online.

However you can download your version and install over the previous one. It worked for me.

Brother i think via using mpt patch with technician trial licence on server edition of reflect we can use it :

Wow, this is a very nice collection of HDD utilities, thanks a lot. If it's not too much to ask in your next/future versions, can you include Terabyte Image, Disk Drill and/or EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Technician. :)

about the technician license, care to say how you did it. I made one but it's gonna expires on the 28-08-2019.

brother please use the server version of reflect with technician trial license then patch it with mpt patch . simple .

if you have executed it with trial license then pl stop macrium service first & patch it with mpt patch as administrator . it will deffinately work.

brother it worked for me & received trial technician license on my email. downloaded server edition & installed it with the trial technician license details which is received via email. then patched it with mpt patch & result as shown in my above post uploaded image.

i downloaded server edition 64 bit from plexor post links on this topic. thats all . i hope its clear to anybody having queries about how i did it.

Thanks for this info Niagara73. I had contacted Macrium when v.7.2.4325 wouldn't auto-update to v.7.2.4398, they replied but didn't say clearly as you have done that the Home version is not included in the updates. The same thing happened when I tried to auto-update to v.7.2.4414 so I just downloaded it yesterday and installed it over the existing version.

If only Macrium had made it clear that the bug fixes etc did not apply to the Home version it would have been more helpful.

Thanks again for clearing this up.😀😀😀
