Windows Update

Dear Readers,

It has been a long while since i updated my Computer with Windows Update. But when I did recently it Downloaded the following files properply:

Update for Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB913161)

Update for Outlook 2003 (KB913807)

Security Update for Excel 2003 (KB905756)

But then it cannot install them as they have failed after many attempts... And I have tried officeupdate.com to get the files and get the message: "This update cannot be applied".

I have searched in my Windows Directory along with the Add/Remove PRograms and couldn't find these files... So I was wondering if there is another way of going about this to get these Updates applied?

probably bad cached files in your temp folder too

delete ALL Windows\temp

or even Docs & Settings\ etc etc

There was nothing in my Windows/Temp folder.

As for that Docs & SEttings\etc.etc. can you expand on that?

how about uninstall them. reboot. a day later reinstall them, reboot and then update

Uninstall? How would I uninstall them if I cannot locate them under the Add/Remove Programs / Windows directory

look under start on the left lower corner and go from there then

LOL no I know where those programs are located I cannot find the Information on the Updates that were 'downloaded' but cannot be instlaled.

i say uninstall the stuff off your computer and do a fresh installment. that way you know its not your files for that program. then go for the updates.
