werty12345
Hi, the title says it all. Which is the easiest way to root my Android phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 3) running Android Marshmallow? I am a noob and wanted to check if there is an app or a program with which I can root my phone with the least number of steps (one-click root perhaps?) dMog
Rooting is not for everyone, really take the time to inform yourself on the pros and the cons and fully understand what you are going to get. Whatever choice you go with, good luck. Pretty sure someone here can send you off with good directions jabrwky

Kuyakoy
Make sure your bootloader is unlocked.
mp68terr
Is your phone under warranty, or not anymore? Also worth to have a look at xda-developers's forum (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3). Edited May 24, 2019 by mp68terr
KXR75
Try Magisk...it's very reliable Root tool. Never disappoints me...also do his job for my MI. Shadowx
NaJeEb303
As @Kuyakoy said, u need to unlock bootloader... General steps for getting root are: 1. Unlock Bootloader 2. Install Custom Recovery (TWRP) 3. Install Root binary via custom recovery (i.e; install Magisk via TWRP) Also, before starting, make sure to have complete backup of ur phone, cuz your phone may wipe during bootloader unlock process, or in case of any soft/hard bricks u must have at least backup of ur data ... its a rule of thumb to always backup ur phone before doing any such kind of thing to ur phone... BTW, what is ur phone's model number?
