M3 Data Recovery is a lightweight application specialized in recovering lost or deleted files from local drives and external devices.

It works with various storage devices, such as IDE HDD, SATA HDD, SCSI HDD, FireWire HDD, SSD, USB HDD, external HDD, RAID, USB flash drive, SD, CF card, MicroSD, SDHC, memory card, memory stick, micro card, and Zip drive.

Support for different recovery scenarios

M3 Data Recovery gives you the possibility to choose between different recovery modes, namely Data Recovery for retrieving files from formatted, RAW, and damaged partitions or lost data due to system/software crashes, and Lost Partition Recovery for finding out deleted or lost partitions and restoring files.

A deep scan mode is available in case you want to make the application scan data thoroughly but this takes more time than a usual scan. You may also restore files from BitLocker encrypted drive.

The tool reveals information about each partition detected on your system, namely details about the free and used space, file system type, and drive letter. During a scan task you are offered info about the elapsed and remaining time.

The scanning process does not take too much time but this pretty much depends on the size of the partition. M3 Data Recovery eats up CPU and memory resources so the overall performance of the computer may be hampered.

Scan results

The recovered data is shown in a tree-like display, and you are allowed to browse throughout the detected directories. Previewing options are available for images, text and HEX data.
