What about time travel where the time  travel paradox is somehow avoided? Did you see "Daja Vu?" You should, when next time they show it on cable! It's a 2006 action movie directed by Tony Scott, written by Bill Marsilii and Terry Rossio, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The film stars Denzel Washington, Paula Patton, Jim Caviezel, Val Kilmer, Adam Goldberg and Bruce Greenwood. It involves an ATF agent who travels back in time in attempts to prevent a domestic terrorist attack that takes place in New Orleans and to save a woman with whom he falls in love.

By the way, a detail not solved about the "time travel" is not the "when" but the "where".  If you somehow find a way to change you position in the timeline, WHERE will you appear?  How can you fix your relative position while changing the time?  Starting form your current position, you might reappear thousands of years ago in a site thousands of lightyears away; if you are out of luck, maybe in the center of a star or in a black hole.

Time is relative so you can "time travel" by going near the speed of light but things like going back in time...I don't think we'll ever do that, I don't know if it's possible.
