If so try to disconnect that, restart your Pc and try again. In most cases that will be the problem

Then, 1.Leave the Office installation running...waiting at 96%. 2.Press ctrl+alt+delete on the keyboard (hold down all keys simultaneously), and select Task Manager. 3.On the Processes tab, select Windows Update Standalone Installer (wusa.exe). Select End task. The Office installation should now resume and complete. After the installation has completed, Restart your computer to let the Windows Update process restart as needed. You may have to manually restart Windows Update. Regards

Else, Open any office application and update it . If this doesn’t help, try online repair. Regards

I had a similar case with foxit reader and also office installation, only after allowing or enabling printer spooler did the installation go well. I've never faced such a problem. Your problem might be that you didn't uninstall the previous version completely. After uninstall, you need to restart your PC before installing a newer version. I often use Control Panel to uninstall Office, never use a third party tool.
