How to update portable softwares without visiting their site i.e. automatically?

PatchMyPc can auto-update a number programs that you've installed which can be run on a schedule.

You will have to manually update shareware programs which i use SUMO to detect which ones have relevant updates and update from within the programs themselves. you can right click on any program in SUMO and select run
