harpua
Anyone use this on W7? Is it pretty safe? I tried it earlier in its development and it cause problems. Good thing I used system restore before hand.
Administrator DKT27 Posted October 29, 2009 Administrator Share Posted October 29, 2009 Let me tell you. You have to be really cautious usin it. Any changes you think will be okay to do would take your system to it's worse side. Be really really careful.
harpua
That's kind of what I thought. Was hoping they improved it. We'll see. It allows backing up before making any changes. I'm kind of liking Yamicsoft Windows 7 Manager which seems to do very complete and fairly safe registry cleaning as well as a whole bunch of other system tweaks. So far that's my favorite tweaking app for W7 and also the "Ultimate Windows Tweaker" which is a free portable app. But that one doesn't clean the registry. Just provides some nice control over some tweaks.
Administrator DKT27 Posted October 29, 2009 Administrator Share Posted October 29, 2009 I heard a lot about Win7 managers etc. I personally think they would be good to use, but as you know, don't try anythin until you have good reviews about it. At last it plays with your OS.
Toshiro
Yamicsoft Windows 7 Manager is a good app for tweaking.. Tried it, I tested most of the options.. But for cleaning the registry and temp files, I keep it on CCleaner.. safe and doing its job :P
harpua
As I said I used Win 7 manager to do registry cleaning and it removed over 2000 entries from my W7 registry (I've been using W7 and upgrading versions (finally to RTM) since last December. Of course I used Win 7 manager's backup registry command before doing this. Anyway, it worked out great and my system has been running a little faster and with no added problems since doing the registry clean. I personally think W7 manager is a better cleaning app than the free CC cleaner but as they say around here, each to their own. :D
