Easyprivacy + Content Blocking--Firefox

I like that Firefox has it's own content blocking, but I thought that they use the list provided by Disconnect.me as a filter. If I'm correct, I don't think that list has been updated since 2015; easyprivacy seems to have more frequent updates. I will say that I notice that my browser is noticeably faster with strict content blocking enabled in Firefox and Easyprivacy added in uBlock Origin, but I'm not sure if using both of them is necessary or if I should just be using one over the other. My theory is that content blocking will block content first, then whatever makes it through that filter will be blocked by Easyprivacy / uBlock. Then again, I'm debating on whether I should disable Easyprivacy and just use content blocking. The problem I have with doing that is that Easyprivacy is enabled by default--which makes it seem like it does a good job--and it updates frequently. I know that having too many filters can slow down a browser, and I just use uBlock for blocking ad frames--meaning that I could get away with just using Easylist and it would hide the things that I want it to hide. I also use uMatrix but it uses more malware based hosts lists to function and doesn't focus on the frames that are blocked by Easylist.

Sorry for all of the information. I just wanted to take you through my whole thought process. Even though my browser is faster with both enabled, I would hate to have it break down the road due to an update to Easyprivacy. Please feel free to correct any information above that is incorrect. Most of it is just me making inductions based on things that I've read about the programs / lists.

no need to add it as extra list; it's a standard list that comes with ublock origin

Standard lists present and active in ublock origin:

- EasyList
- Peter Lowe’s Ad server list
- EasyPrivacy
- Malware domains

No, no. I understand that. I meant, do I need to enable content blocking if I am using Easyprivacy?

ah ok. Maybe this helps you:

Here you can see what is blocked by Easyprivacy ; go read what's blocked and decide after checking the list if you still need to block more:

I guess I'll just leave both of them turned on then. It doesn't seem to be doing any damage--as far as conflicting with each other.

that makes sense; if lists block the same addressess/content they do exactly the same thing so they shouldn't conflict with each other. I guess they can only complement each other

I thought that they would conflict with one another though.
