Jota.Ce
First uninstall, then use a removal tool to erase traces. And a registry cleaner to be completely sure xD.
Senbonzakura
Someone said to me that it's better to just uninstall (only) with the removal tool...Is it because if you do it with the removal tool, then the software includes the traces are gone in one...? Administrator Lite Posted October 23, 2009 Administrator Share Posted October 23, 2009 Most AV manufacturers provide uninstall tools for a "complete" removal. Here's a list of most of the tools: LinkIt is recommended to use the software's uninstaller at first and if it fails to use one of the cleaner tools. Senbonzakura
So the best way is not via Software...?
Administrator DKT27 Posted October 23, 2009 Administrator Share Posted October 23, 2009 Revo first removes it via the normal installation and then searches for left items, registry keys, etc. But the problem with the security software I've found is that sometimes the program only gets deleted after restart and sometimes you need immediate restart, after that(restart) you cannot go for the uninstallers, you have to go for registry cleaner. But you should follow Lite's advice. Patrick
You can always choose restart later when the installer asks you and let Revo delete the leftovers and the registry keys. When everything is done you restart the OS.
