The-Eye's MSDN Archive / Live Checksum Checker Added!

Greetings,

We've added the ability to check the hash/checksum of any file located on our server, including the checksums/hashes of MSDN files. If you want to check that a version of a specific software matches the original checksum on MSDN, you may do so using our site alongside checking the checksum locally after downloading.

You may access the library here: https://the-eye.eu/public/MSDN (2.8TB)

To use the checksum function, navigate to a folder such as Windows 10/. Find the file you are interested in, and click the hash button on the left side of the filename.

In this example I'm using en_windows_10_enterprise_x86_dvd_6851156.iso. Once you click the button you should see the following:

After you have the checksums, you can verify them from any trusted sites and sources you have for legitimate MSDN checksums. I will use heidoc as my source.

Navigate to the version you selected, in this case Windows 10, Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows 10 Enterprise (x86) - DVD (English)

https://www.heidoc.net/php/myvsdump_details.php?id=P1833F64732Ax86Len

As you can see the SHA1 checksum of the file matches.

It is also recommended to verify the checksum after downloading to make sure that the file is what you wanted.

Hope this help you all out.  :)

Can you please add LTSC 2019 to your library?

Thanks!

Hello!

We're currently not upgrading our MSDN library due to storage and budget concerns. As a no-profit site we have to carefully balance out the content we offer.

We will update here if we ever turn around and decide to update the archive. :)
