At lest back in  the day when newspapers still sold The National Enquirer  , The Sun  etc was expected to be fake news and they paid for it but now days the problem is social media there is too much News even Facebook used Definers to spread conspiracy theories to smear George Soros, name because he was part of the Anti Facebook Movement and was rich and powerful.

Google's YouTube , Facebook and Twitter  allowed it to go,  on since they opened up  in 2004 even paid fake news posters ad money  incentives and some of there staff  even  was involved with there own fake news campaigns to benefit social media  and now they want  to act like there fixing the problem because the progressives and the right wing have both exposed them in the USA  but the irony of it  is  it took them 14 years to even admit big tech  are a big problem   but stories like the one I posted in the OP shows they no more fixed it  than a man in the moon and everything they say is  just PR lies . There's a big difference in people buying fake news rags  at  the check out in a store than social media paying people to spread fake news for free.  :lmao:

That makes 2 things the USA  agree on,  but In many developing countries like Nigeria that don't care  about inequality, they  most likely believe everything they read too. In many
countries  in Africa there charging users a internet tax if they log on social media  because  there using social media  to spread fake news and to gossip.

Back before all this stuff came out about social media  , I even seen conspiracy theories posted on Nsane forums like Snowden  died before posted by a former staff member  and many members arguing  with me in the comments trying convince  me that it was true,  but dead men can't delete there own  tweets so I knew it was fake from the start. people rather believe a lie than the truth because people no longer know what's true and and what's fake anymore.
