Expand Are you referring to a PowerISO update being downloaded & installed automatically? If you are, PowerISO doesn't do that. PowerISO will only check & inform if an update is available if that feature is checked/ticked: Options>Configuration>General>Online Upgrade: Check for updates automatically. Note: If using an "unofficial" serial and PowerISO.exe is not blocked with a firewall, then the serial may be revoked hence I prefer to check manually for updates. Power ISO checks the keys and blocks non-genuine keys as soon as it is detected. If your generator/keygen has provided you a key that is also officially registered by somebody, this key is not threatened and will not blocked. PS! Power ISO key and owner name or email are interconnected (related to each other). So, more likely to to get a genuine key is if thinking about which names might may have these people, who actually have bought this product. Power ISO does not check the keys at each startup and even not always whenever you check for updates. Expand Yes, that's true, the algoritm generates serial key what based on username and there is several different combinations. The same method is used by many softwares, for example WiseCare, WinRAR, WinZip any many others. So your generated key may work for ever, but may be bloked soon. The key is local key and as I already sayd, usually not checked by internet. The same is with WinRar and WinZip, but WiseCare checks key always when program starts. 😎 So, if You don't believe, don't believe.
