xoseba
Hi. Sorry if this topic is not from this forum (the moderator can change it). I have a laptop with W'10 Home (with only Windows applications and 1 or 2 more) and I want to install W'10 LTSC. I would like to know: 1 - In my case, is it better to go to: Start > Settings > Update and Security > Activation? 2 - Or do a clean installation? In this case, can I install LTSC in "OS Install (C :)" without losing the other partitions? How? Thanks
coromonadalix
The windows versions is tied with the serial number, you can change some windows versions to the higher versions Ex: pro to entreprise, pro to pro workstation ... Apply the correct serial to change it, and do a full reboot, some serials are provided by msoft for installation, but for the upgrade its another story gooogle fuu is your friend
GPSBaltic
Or do just Upgrade. Yes with serials you can manipulate editions. I have done my self Home to Pro, Pro to Enterp. Enterp to pro, KMS keys
s1ave77
#1. No upgrade path to LTSB/C officially in general. #2. Upgrade works by tricking the Setup to think it would perform a Repair-Setup by setting reg keys. #3. If there isn't much installed better freshly install LTSC. #4.If you install to Disk 0 with your actual OS partition it will leave the little boot and PE tools partitions (if not they can be re-created).
