EDIT

I forgot to mention about Malwarebytes settings:

Do not set Malwarebytes to start at Windows startup.

Malwarebytes must start after Firewall already active/running.

If you want to set Malwarebytes to start at Windows stratup, you need to block via hosts file.

Unfortunately it does not work with version 3.6.1 😭😭 Even so thanks.

so there's nothing working yet for 3.6.1.2711?

My solution:
1. Install Malwarebytes 3.6.x.x then update database.
2. Activate Malwarebytes using any fake license (use keygen  - but still, it's very difficult to get the license that works).
3. Once Malwarebytes Premium activated (All Real-Time Protection layers are on) , quickly turn off/quit Malwarebytes.
4. Block Malwarebytes program (entirely) using your Firewall program.
Done. Now your Malwarebytes Premium will never expires.

How to update:
Run latest Malwarebytes installer and install over (overwrite) the existing/older version.

Thanks for this info, do you have anything special in your hosts file? Also, in step 2, do I need to keep using the keygen until I get a valid fake license?

No I don't. I don't recommend to block via hosts file since Malwarebytes can detect it. Better use firewall

Yes, and it will make you sweat a lot

UPDATE MALWAREBYTES SAFELY

Download latest Malwarebytes installer, run the installer and install over your existing/previous Malwarebytes.

UPDATE MALWAREBYTES EASILY BUT RISKY (I always update in this way, but I don't recommend you to do this)

Open Malwarebytes >> Switch OFF firewall >> Update Malwarebytes >> Wait until Updates status shows "Applying" >> Switch ON firewall

Mandatory actions after installation:
video instruction in the MalwarebytesFix.mp4 file

1. Disable application updates (databases will continue to update)

2. Run a selective check of the C: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ etc folder and add the following objects to the exclusions:

File: C: \ PROGRAMDATA \ MBHELPER.EXE
File: C: \ WINDOWS \ SYSTEM32 \ DRIVERS \ ETC \ HOSTS
Registry value for 32-bit systems: HKLM \ SOFTWARE \ MICROSOFT \ WINDOWS \ CURRENTVERSION \ RUN | Malawreby Helper
Value register for 64-bit systems: HKLM \ SOFTWARE \ WOW6432NODE \ MICROSOFT \ WINDOWS \ CURRENTVERSION \ RUN | Malawrebytes Helper

With this method, version 3.6.1 continues to work perfectly after 10 days of use. And you can update the version without any problem.
In addition, it is not necessary to block the hosts file and thus no error windows appear.
