Knightmare
I was playing around with some settings in uBO and I noticed that my filters stayed at the same number for quite some time. When I clicked on the Easylist filter to view the full list of blocked elements, the top of the page has the last update as June 2018. When I go to the official website, it shows that the last update was today. I started wondering about the other filters and realized that they also displayed the last update as a few months ago; upon visiting their official site, they show the latest update as a few days ago. I went over to uMatrix and it showed the same results. Is this a bug with the two programs or did I do something on my end to make this happen? funkyy
Check that "Auto-update filters lists" is checked.😀
Knightmare
It is checked. I should mention that I ran an update manually, and it still shows the list from June 2018.

The only other things I can suggest are:- 1) In "Settings" try clicking the "Reset to default settings...." 2) If that doesn't let your filters update I would uninstall uBlock Origin and re-install. Hope you have some luck with this.😀
Knightmare
Done both. Same result.
funkyy
I only use uBlock because uMatrix is really for advanced users (they warn!!)...so reading that and knowing my limitations I avoided the temptation to install it. I think uMatrix must be blocking your uBlock filter update, so I would suggest disable or uninstall uMatrix and see if uBlock updates....then decide if it's worth having both. Good luck.😀 It's probably the Dylithium Crystals or the Gangle Sprocket that are burned out!!!😀😀😀
Ecarion
Open the page about:config and check these settings : pref("dom.indexedDB.enabled",false); pref("dom.storage.enabled",false); It could another one ? Yes because I don't know which one cause this trouble... But once you had rectify them (true to enable), it should vanish. PS : Don't forget to restart the browser At the worst, (first of all) save your data and delete the profile. Otherwise if you are feeling lucky, my advice will be to open an issue there. For once the author might provide a real help. From my point of view, the support is just bad...
flitox
be sure to have this entry in the whitelist: moz-extension-scheme
dcs18
uBlock, uMatrix and your firewall . . . . . all have the capability to block updates to ones add-ons. You might want to disable all the above 3 temporarily, just to find-out if it's true in your case — then, enable the same one-by-one until you identify the culprit/s. Finally, you'll have to go through all your rules to locate the problematic one/s — suspect it might be your custom rule/s (at either one or more — at the above 3 programs.) That's why @flitox I believe it doesn't cause this trouble. By the way, it's just bad (or even a bad practice) because @Knightmare the fact is : no you didn't mention the version (about each addons neither the browser itself). And no it doesn't help (us) ! Sometimes yes it's very important because it could help a lot to identify the origin of this kind of trouble. PS : From my point of view, it's better and rather to provide clear information (such as the code itself) : matrix-off: moz-extension-scheme true ## At the top of rules (inside the uMatrix dashboard) No @dcs18 it can't be the firewall (that's just my opinion). Otherwise the browser will be totally block (no internet).

It's not necessary that the browser will be totally blocked — I've got a rule blocking just the add-on updates.
Ecarion
Now I understand @dcs18 because it wasn't aware. I haven't create the rule because WFC has never show any notification about the addons. Because I didn't forgot the notification about (the file called) pingsender.exe and I confirm it was the only one (which was block a long time ago). Which firewall do you use @Knightmare ?Just in case because I assume it might help (even a little to determine the cause).
Knightmare
I created a new profile and reinstalled my addons. Seems to have worked, but I won't know until the lists update.
