Karamjit
Vivaldi is a Chromium-based web browser for power users that is fast, rich in functionality, flexible and puts the user first. Vivaldi’s interface is very customizable. Vivaldi combines simplicity and fashion to create a basic, highly customizable interface that provides everything a internet user could need. The browser allows users to customize the appearance of UI elements such as background color, overall theme, address bar and tab positioning, and start pages. Vivaldi features the ability to "stack" and "tile" tabs, annotate web pages, add notes to bookmarks and much more. Thanks to ARMOUR for the update.Download
Ecarion
Pardon but you have made a mistake about the changelog (on this page from nsanedown.com). Right now the link is about the Vivaldi_v1.15 and not Vivaldi_v2.0 ! That's why you must rectify this mistake (for example) with this one. https://nsa39.casimages.com/img/2018/09/26/180926060310978580.png By the way, I suggest you to precise (in the title) the correct version ! Do you talking about the Stable or the Snapshot (or RC) ? Because from my point of view : no this information isn't clear. https://vivaldi.com/blog/snapshots/ https://vivaldi.com/blog/snapshots/vivaldi-2-0-rc-2-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-1309-25/ https://vivaldi.com/blog/snapshots/regression-fixes-backend-updates-and-improvements/ etc To conclude; I will assume they have decide finally to publish it. Because 2 weeks ago Vivaldi_v2.0 wasn't yet ready (read the article - link n°3 - and also the picture).

Use the portable version to test it before locally installing. Download, extract, run the app, if you don't like it you just delete the folder. In regards to your issue, that problem does not have a solution. For whatever reason, any Chrome-based browser will not retain data when moved to a different computer. HOWEVER: If you have a list of the Extensions you had installed, as well as a backup of your bookmarks, you can restore the browser after moving it to a new PC. All you have to do is reinstall the Extensions and restore your Bookmarks. All Extensions will still have their configuration saved. Use this Extension to make a backup list of installed Extensions: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/export-all-extensions/cmeckkgeamghjhkepejgjockldoblhcb?hl=en Vivaldi now has Sync (and so does Chrome) so if you simply login, your Extensions and Bookmarks should be restored from the Vivaldi servers. Radpop
Vivaldi is getting better but why so many portables here! What's wrong with the original Vivaldi portable which You can install using original Vivaldi exe-file? Why these pafs are better or are they? 😉

I prefer all of my portables to be in that format. For me, it's a matter of consistency. Most "portable" versions that are provided by the original software developers are usually not 100% portable. Also, .paf portable can make use of file associations.
Radpop
Original Vivaldi installer has an option to install Vivaldi as portable. What User gets when User chooses this portable option? Search for 'Vivaldi' enters files and folders in three places. Most files are located in portable folder, but there are 5 prefetches in Windows folders and something in hidden user\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Chrashpad folder: empty 'reports' folder and 'settings.dat' file. Is that so bad? Most annoying historical feature in Vivaldi was bookmarks. Now I can open them by one click. Thanks, Vivaldi devs! 🆒 Double clicking was/is so difficult and hard for me!
