Administrator Matt Posted September 21, 2018 Administrator Share Posted September 21, 2018 Firefox Quantum is the latest web browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation, it is powered by the Servo web browser layout engine and the incredibly fast and smooth Photon UI. Firefox Quantum is over twice as fast as the old Gecko powered Firefox, built on a completely overhauled core engine with brand new technology stolen from Mozilla's advanced research group, and graced with a beautiful new look designed to get out of the way and let you do what you do best: surf a ton of pages, open a zillion tabs, all guilt free because Firefox Quantum uses less memory than the competition. Your computer will thank you. Thanks to ARMOUR for the update.Download
dabourzannan
Thanks Matt the post, I think people should know that this version uses memory up to 1 GB if you open multiple tabs, even Chrome which is known to be resource hungry does not reach half of that. Sandman
I have noticed a slight decrease in browsing speed with this version. So I tried Firefox 63 Beta 8 which works great.

Bullshit. I have 9 tabs currently open in Chrome and it's already using more than 1GB. If you have enough RAM you don't really care how much it uses anyway. LeeSmithG
Can someone post how to add unlimted topsites please? I can do 32, I want to move all my I.E. favourites to firefox. I got around 400 favourites. Found out a way of doing it add to address bar this code about:config?filter=browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.topSitesRows then set how many one wants. When people are better served by safe authentic original download from Mozilla. Is there anything lacking that required a repack, what other stuff did you pack inside? In a way you maybe right, it will depend on what sites you are opening. But let us think about it, no matter how much RAM you have, a bowser should not consume that much memory. Browsing is not that intensive operation that needs a huge amount of memory.
