was just about to mention Virtual Box aswell...

i used to use vmware but find Virtual Box much better..

looks like the media you chose is corrupt or can not be found, harddrive was no, floppy was no, dvd was no, so either you selected improper or media is corrupt.

try to install without efi.

choose manual install and after virtual name you can choose efi or bios choose bios.
