Diskeeper and Windows 7 x64?

I've got Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit installed and it's running fine but I need to get defragmenter installed ASAP. I tried installing Diskeeper 2009 but the BetaMaster keymaker doesn't work (all the options are greyed out).

While I could use a different program if necessary I would prefer to use Diskeeper due to it's "In the background" automatic defragmentation that I don't have to worry about. However, as I mentioned, when I try to use the BetaMaster keymaker all the options are greyed out so it won't patch. If anyone knows how to fix this that would be excellent! :D

Well I haven't tried Diskeeper yet but I recommend Auslogics Disk Defrag or Smart Defrag(both free) if you want to use background defrag feature.

If you are not very fond of free software then I recommend Ultimate Defrag. (Well I don't know whether it supports Win7)

karachidude, thanks for the link. I'll check it out (and upload it to Virus Total) and see what happens.

DKT27, I'll check out what you mentioned if Diskeeper doesn't end up working. Ultimate Defrag looks particularly interesting. :sneaky:

I just did a VirusTotal scan on the KeyGen included with the file karachidude linked to. It's the exact same KeyGen as the BetaMaster one linked on the nsane homepage. They have the same SHA256 ID and the antivirus programs detect the same "viruses". I'll scan the other parts and let you know what's up.

Also, I scanned the Setup file and VT doesn't report any viruses. The "VEOVEO" file is also clean with the dll showing "UnclassifiedMalware" by Comodo and "Application/Kichwas" by Panda.

I find that windows defrag works real well in win7. Along with its remove programs feature in the control panel. MS has finally come up with some nice onboard software.
