The alternate source is the Twitter page of the promo site.  The tweet was done yesterday Here which means that the site is making the representation that the key works for the period highlighted.  I have uninstalled and installed zemana on numerous occasions and in my experience noticed that the best way to load a key to make it work is to do a complete uninstall of the your existing zemana software with one of the better uninstall programs and then load your key.  The latter is likely to avoid the default message stated by @skyhigh above.

I believe the answer is moot because it depends if, for example, the giveaway key is still active.  I activated Zemana last year (1600 days approx) and earlier this year I  did a complete un-install and subsequent  installation of windows and strangely enough I used my old key and it activated.  It would be ludicrous for me to tell members to execute the latter since the ends certain do not justify the means but this is exactly what happened to me.  I digress to mention that a complete un-install as described by myself above has worked for me in the past as well.
