How to:

1) Download Part 1 of the rar archive

2) Once downloaded, right click on it, on the dropdown menu select

"Extract files..."

3) On the menu that comes up, check "Keep broken file".

4) Hit OK, it will start to extract (enter a password if needed) and once it gets to part 2 you will get the normal error message.

5) Hit cancel, close, etc. Get the boxes out of the way.

6) There will be a new folder on your desktop, or where ever you choose to extract to, containing the folder and the first 15 minutes or so of the movie. You can watch part 1 while part 2 is downloading, etc.

This is also helpful for checking the quality of movies.

cheers :D

Does this work on all formats, or just AVI?

it works on all real formats. not the fakes. also you usually need more then just the first partl. also since you are viewing the rar files and whats inside, if you see ^ (passworded) exe or more winrar files with passowrd or exe usually hidden behind the 2nd rars you should not click on it. most passoworded new cams are fake now. also if you are usually wmp turn the codec download off. that will stop them form sending nasty programming to you.

you may have to get a few 1-5 rars to make it work. rememever you will need *.rar (which is usually posted last), *.r00, *.r01 etc unless they made it with *.r01 as the start

you could also use NZBPlayer and it will automatically do all of that for you. it will even play an entire movie if you're downloading it fast enough, whether it be torrents or off a newsgroup. All you need is NZBPlayer and VideoLAN
